BRISTOL COMIC EXPO 2012

Thanks to Andrew Wildman, interior colorist John-Paul Bove and cover colorist Jason Cardy for signing my 80.5. It was great to finally meet some of the IDW team, John-Paul had some incredible work on display that Im looking forward to seeing in print.

Also a massive thank you to John Higgins for signing his beautiful cover from the Marvel UK days Ive been a fan of his forever and he was very kind to share some info on his techniques at the time.

The dealer hall was packed and I got a good deal on some DW alternate covers including the very nice Shockwave DF exclusive sketch cover along with some DC Star Trek and Shogun Warriors ( for a closer look at these check out my other blog fightsuperrobotlifeform ).

Thanks to the awesome reaperfox for catering for the bronys by providing prints and cutie mark badge sets and for signing my Pinkie Pie :)

Getting to know a Transformers fan

Q1. How long have you been a transformers fan?

I have been a fan for as long as I can remember I must have been 3 or 4 when I got my first toy. I got back into collecting in 2002 when RID was out but it wasn’t until Animated that I started watching the show regularly. I have also followed all of the comics since Dreamwave.

Q2. Can you think of a standout moment in your life regarding transformers?

In 2007 before the movie had been released I went into a Toys R Us and saw the display for the new toy line taking up the whole wall at the front of the store that was when I released how important this movie would be and how much bigger the franchise was about to become.

Q3. Who is your favorite transformer of all time?

Optimus Prime.

Q4. What is your most prized transformers possession?

My G1 Prime, one of the few toys I still have from my childhood.

Q5. What is your favourite piece of transformers fiction?

Transformers Animated. That series was so much fun it really reminded me why I liked the franchise the toys were very well done and my only criticism is that it did not last long enough.

Q6. Outside of Transformers what do you do with your life?

I make music some of which you can listen to here , read about here and if you are lucky enough to live in or near Bristol UK you can come and see me play live here.

Q7. What is the origin of your ~~Youtube~~ Tumblr screen name?

It is purely descriptive to help people find the blog, Im surprised it was not taken.
