emersondelacruz asked: Hey! I was wondering if you read the IDW comics. I'm considering reading the series over my summer vacation, but I'd like some insight before I buy the TPBs. Thanks!
Hey sorry it took so long to reply, I have read everything IDW has published and although the back catalog has its moments its hard to recommend where to jump on for new readers but Im going to try.
The -ation series are great but after a good build up it doesn’t really get the payoff it deserved.
The Spotlights are good as on the whole they are self contained stories, just pick up the one about your favorite characters and you should enjoy them.
All Hail Megatron is OK and at least you can read the whole story.
The Ongoing by Mike Costa is the weakest series for me and I confess I still havent read the last few issues.
I always seem to say this but the best books from IDW are the two current ongoing series More Than Meets the Eye and Robots in Disguise , if your already reading those and you like them I can recommend going back and reading Last Stand of the Wreckers by the same creative team.
Also the digital only Autocracy series is wrapping up now im waiting for the last issue before I finish treading it but that was shaping up to be a good story.
There really have been a lot of good books by IDW and you wont regret picking up any of them if you or anyone has any specific questions dont be afraid to ask and I will try and reply quicker :)
